TOURS IN ISTANBUL TOURS IN EPHESUS TOURS IN CAPPADOCIA TOURING TURKEY
Dear Kagan:
How I wish you would have someone working for you the year we went to Kusadasi! I remember requesting whether you could get a guide to lead us there and at that time, you did not have anyone. If we ever go back there, I would definitely call on you. The guide from ---- Travel was terrible. The worst part of it was that we had just finished our trip in Istanbul, guided by Hale. The tour experience was like day and night!
Please send our regards to Hale.
Have a safe and wonderful year in 2011.

From Suleymaniye, strolling down to market areas of Golden Horn and Taksim district...
We are coming & meeting guests at the hotel/port.
Starting at 9am, this walking tour is over around 4pm.

As we meet with guests,
either we take a taxi or use public transportation to
the Mosque of Suleyman (Ottoman, 500 years old).
Then comes a walk down to the coast through a very colorful local market.
The far end of this walk is
Spice Market (Ottoman, 400 years old).

Arriving to Spice Market, we are now in Golden Horn area.
Walking over the bridge connecting both sides of Golden Horn is like walking between stages of history:
from the Old City, to the city of 19th Century.
Next stop is,
Galata Tower (Byzantine, 600 years old);
offering great views of the city in clear days.

Lastly & finally,
we walk along a pedestrian street; Beyoglu - Istiklal Street, loaded with locals at all times, full of shops, local restaurants, cafe houses.
This walk leads us to Taksim area; one of the city centers of Istanbul.

As the tour is over, guests may like to stay longer in Taksim area or we will naturally assist guests back to their hotel or the port.

Please note:
The day involves long walks;
• comfortable walking shoes please...
• a head-cover since we may find local / less visited mosques on the way
• and a backpack since we are walking through some very colorful market areas.
